To bring value, hospitality, and a positive influence to the lives of all of the people who we come in contact with.
Flat Waves was founded in 2010 and inspired by the Hawaiian plate lunch, we set out to bring some fresh new ideas and food to Aquidneck Island!
In 2016 Flat Waves rebranded to Flat Waves Food Shack which brought in menu items inspired by other beach and surf destinations around the world.
In the late spring of 2022 we officially reintroduced the restaurant as The Food Shack! With a new location and an updated menu, we are excited to offer a relaxed dining experience featuring a locally sourced menu, original recipes, and street food favorites! We love what we do and pride ourselves on serving you and bringing you that “beyond one meal” experience every time!
